Carl Iver Hovland

Early life

Carl Iver Hovland or we know him Carl Hovland born in Chicago, June 12nd 1912 and he died in April 16th  1961. He is an  American pshycologist. He entered the study at Northwestern University at the age of 16 and complete his graduate studies at Yale University, receiving his doctorate in 1936. Hovland’s personality is so good, as a child  Hovland had a deep interest in music. In fact, up until college when psychology became a major part of his life he was looking into a musical career. He’s a good listener , quite and less talk but he has a awesome capable. Hovland has acknowledge genius and productive. He can do anything complex at once. Like script editing, speak through phone and set a slide.

Career

Research about psychology is a result of Hovland’s intellectuality.

Especially in the beginning of his career, his report was very comprehensive and discuss about many topics.

By the time, he was finally became a doctor. Hovland has publish a dozen od paper and collected data from the half of it.

Four of his papers has been published American Journal of psychology. Two papers in Yale journal Biology and medicine and the others were in psychology journal.

The paper was about psychology of study of reability test, Which is the main topic of his literature just like four of his paper before which is his dissertationfor his doctoral.

Death

In the last decade of his life Hovland's research on verbal concepts and judgment led him into an intensive analysis of concept formation. Once again he played a pioneering role in developing a new field of research  computer simulation of human thought processes.

A month before his death, he was honored with the award of the Warren Medal by the Society of Experimental Psychologists

In April 16th 1961, Carl Hovland was passed away causes cancer. He left a good knowledge for us and he will reminded as an expert of psychologist.
